The Water's Edge golf course is the jewel of the community. The 18-hole, PGA Championship Golf Course was designed by the late R.F. Loving, Jr., ASGC, a nationally renowned golf course architect. In 2007, the golf course was renovated tee to green. The design of R.F. Loving, Jr. was well respected by famed golf course architect Richard Mandell.

Whether you’re teeing off on the famous island green on hole 7, viewing the Peaks of Otter while teeing off on hole 6 or chipping to the green on hole 10, the absolute beauty of its surroundings will take your breath away. Our hole 18 was rated as one of the more challenging holes in the region.  The pristine waters of Smith Mountain Lake that hug the majority of the course will wash away your troubles.
